prthree=Salerno Brings Commitment to Packaged Ice Market to Expo 2003
Salerno Plastic Films and Bags, Booth 204, is introducing the company’s newest, heavy duty bulk packaging bags, specifically engineered for the packaged ice market, at the Packaged Ice Industry Exposition 2003 November 4 - 9, New Orleans. Salerno produces mono and multilayer printed films for production of a full offering of bulk packaging solutions.
According to Roger Sullivan, Senior VP Sales and Marketing, Salerno participation in Packaged Ice Industry Exposition 2003, underlines Salerno’s commitment to winning new customers in the packaged ice industry.
“Packaged ice producers visiting us at the expo will find we are uniquely positioned to effectively help them compete in the rapidly growing packaged ice markets,” Sullivan said.
In serving the packaged ice industry, Salerno is benefiting from the experience of new president Richard Meredith. During his years at Arrow Industries, Meredith led the development of the flexible packaging operation and participated successfully in the packaged ice market.
“Richard gives us the advantage of a new perspective that puts ice producers’ packaging requirements in sharp focus,” Sullivan said. “We have improved production technology, assembled an experienced customer support and service team and have in place the delivery system and multi-plant capabilities that ensure timely deliveries.”
Salerno is in the end stages of a complete overhaul that includes adding a new management team, expanded sales and customer support teams and new technology. Two new bag machines came on line this fall and plans to add more are in place.
